SEAJA's rules in 3 points

Discover the structure and operation of SEAJA, a volunteer organization that emphasizes transparency, responsiveness, and local collaboration to successfully carry out its projects.

SEAJA is run by dedicated volunteers and is based on concepts that combine flexibility and complementarity with major associations active in Cambodia and other Asian countries. Our main, long-term objective is to intervene quickly and effectively on simple but high-impact local projects in villages far from major urban centers.

Our primary mission is to support families in difficulty in providing their children with a dignified living environment and genuine educational opportunities. We help them value their culture and environment, while also raising their awareness, if necessary, of the importance of respecting their surroundings.

SEAJA's scope of action

Villages far from major urban centers

  • Well construction
  • Purchase of tools and materials
  • Construction or renovation of schools and orphanages
  • Assistance in recruiting qualified teachers
  • Provision of essential school supplies
  • Medical help
  • Support for local NGOs

SEAJA's ethics and credo

  • Honor and respect local culture and rules
  • Humility and altruism: acting without expecting recognition or reward
  • Exploring with our beneficiaries strategies to achieve financial autonomy: how to become independent of our support
  • Agility and responsiveness in a streamlined process: assessment, evaluation, arbitration, and launch
  • Transparency and efficiency in the use of donations. Saying what we do and doing what we say.
  • Projects that rely on local stakeholders and lasting mutual trust
  • A field-based approach that excludes all condescension and avoids miserabilism

How SEAJA works

The association is composed of a small, entirely volunteer board to minimize operating costs while ensuring agility and responsiveness in line with our objectives and projects.

Our approach is primarily participatory, open to the best ideas and proposals for collaboration. The topics we address are important, but we approach them as much as possible in a positive atmosphere and in the spirit of a sporting team!

Meeting, helping, opening up, discovering, learning: so many sources of happiness!

We do not receive any funding other than private donations from individuals and companies.
